Flying high

High Bank Day Nursery is flying high after raising £2,355.80 for the Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS).

Following a vote by parents and staff, we chose GNAAS as our charity of the year for 2018.

Over the last 12 months, the we have held various fundraising events, including a sponsored walk, supermarket bag pack, sponsored abseil and a Christmas fayre.

Christmas fayre

Christmas is coming early at High Bank as we stage our latest fundraising event – a Christmas Fayre – to support our charity of the year.

So far this year, we have raised £1,500 for the Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS)

We are hoping our latest event, a Christmas fayre taking place between 10am and 2pm this Saturday (17th November) will take us over the £2,000 mark for the year.

Top of the summit

Getting to the top of the summit was the hardest part of our latest fundraising effort as it was all downhill from there!

In the latest event to raise money for our charity of the year, the Great North Air Ambulance Service, staff, parents, friends and family from High Bank Day Nursery abseiled from one of the cliffs at Goldsborough Carr in Teesdale, County Durham.

Despite a few, understandable, pre-abseil nerves, everyone successfully managed to rappel down, raising over £250 (and still counting) for Great North Ambulance in the process.
