There appeared to be lots of parents with ‘something in the eyes’ when High Bank Day Nursery held a graduation ceremony for the children who are leaving to start school in September.
Staged at Barton Village Hall, there wasn’t a dry eye in the house as the children proudly donned gowns and mortarboards for the event. They sang and danced to songs from The Greatest Showman and Moana, before receiving their graduation certificates.
The afternoon ended with a party tea and graduation cake.
Zara Watkinson, High Bank Nursery Deputy Manager, said: “Although it’s sad to say goodbye to children who have often been with us since they were babies, the graduation ceremony is always one of the highlights of the year, and this was no exception.
“The were plenty of tearful mums and dads, not to mention the staff who have played such an important part in the children’s development.
“It’s a lovely way to mark the end of the High Bank journey for the children and we wish them every success in the future.”graduation ceremony, high bank day nursery, pre-school
