November got off to a cracking start at High Bank with activities to mark Bonfire Night.
The children enjoyed pretending to be in a rocket and flying through the sky, but also learned about the dangers of fireworks and how we should watch them carefully!
Toddlers made some lovely poppy biscuits for Remembrance Sunday and in all the rooms we paid our respects to the fallen.
One of the highlights of the month was out Christmas fayre in aid of our charity of the year, Darlington Mind. Despite terrible weather which could have easily put people off from leaving their homes, we had amazing support and raised a wonderful £920.
Christmas can never come too early at High Bank, or certainly not when Jimmy the Elf is around. He thought it was fun to decorate Minnie and pre-school’s Christmas tree, helped by some very naughty bigger elves!
On the subject of Christmas, December is already full of festive activities so watch out for our round-up in January and until then, have a great Christmas everyone.early years learning, high bank day nursery, November, nursery activities, Ofsted outstanding
