High Bank Day Nursery opened in 2003 and is situated in the village of Stapleton, North Yorkshire. Operating from four rooms in a renovated building on a working farm, the nursery provides places for children aged six weeks to five-years-old. We have Ofsted registration for 68 children in total.
In our pre-school room we have a Learning Lodge which is designed to simulate a classroom environment to prepare the children for school. This includes a computer, an interactive whiteboard, projector, reading area and quiet area.
In our last Ofsted report High Bank was rated as ‘Outstanding’, with inspectors highlighting the outstanding teaching and that the children’s natural curiosity and exploratory instincts are very well fostered because their surroundings supply endlessly fascinating challenges.
Despite our rural location, we are only a few miles from Darlington and within easy reach of major road networks such as the A1 and A66. Our children come to us from across the area, including Darlington, Richmond, Northallerton, Catterick, Barnard Castle and local villages such as Eppleby, Caldwell, Stapleton, Cleasby, Hutton Magna, Croft, Manfield and Gainford.
If you would like to arrange a tour of the nursery, please do not hesitate to contact us.
